Windward Drop Earrings

The Windward Drops pair a 9mm Akoya pearl with a wave-cut hook in 18-karat rose gold. The hook is hand-cut from sheet gold rather than cast, giving its inner curve a slight asymmetry that reads as deliberate and refined rather than imprecise.

The pearl is suspended on a fine bail soldered at 15 degrees off-plumb, so the drop swings fractionally with movement and catches light in the way a still-hung pearl cannot. It is a small technical choice that makes a visible difference when the earrings are worn.
