Tanzanite occupies a narrow colour register that moves between violet and blue depending on the light source — direct sun draws out the blue; warm incandescent shifts it toward purple. The stones in the Lighthouse Studs are matched for colour temperature across the pair, a detail that takes time in the sorting tray but is immediately visible when worn.

Set in a 4-prong basket of 18-karat yellow gold, the gold and the stone form a warm contrast that cooler metals — white gold, platinum — would not achieve. The post and butterfly fitting are made from the same alloy as the setting.

The Lighthouse collection takes its name from the Ragged Point lighthouse on Barbados's east coast, where the Atlantic arrives unobstructed from West Africa. Stone-set, small, and precise.
