Pelican Solitaire Ring

The Pelican Solitaire is the single ring in the Aurelia range that we describe without qualification as a forever piece. The stone — a round-brilliant 0.6-carat diamond, D/VS1, cut in Antwerp — is set in a four-claw platinum basket raised just high enough from the band to catch light from every angle, but low enough that the wearer can put their hands in their pockets without anxiety.

The band tapers from 1.8mm at the shoulder to 1.2mm beneath the stone, a proportion derived from the silhouette of a pelican in descent: wide at the wings, pointed at the bill. The taper is subtle enough that most people never identify the source, but the ring photographs with an elegance that wider-band solitaires rarely achieve.

This is currently the last available ring in this size run. We make the Pelican Solitaire in numbered batches of six per size. When this ring is gone, the next batch will not be ready for four months.
